Rabbinate
The offices of the Rabbinate are located at the Jewish Town-hall.
The Chief Rabbi of Prague is Rabbi David Peter.
The Rabbinate is responsible for the religious life of the Community.
The tasks of its staff include ensuring regular religious services, both on weekdays and on holidays, for education on Judaism, for brit mila, bar mitzvah and wedding ceremonies as well as funerals and also runs the Mikve.
the Rabbinate guarantees kashrut supervision and provides kosher certification to a wide array of food manufacturers and producers Accepted by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.
Services:
Old-New Synagogue: Kabbalat Shabbat and Maariv services are held every Friday evening, one hour before dusk, Shacharit every Saturday morning beginning at 9 a.m.
Since May till August Kabbalat Shabat and Maariv start at 7:30 p.m. Weekday Maariv starts at 7.30 p.m.
High Synagogue: Services are held at this synagogue every day. Shacharit starts at 8.30 a.m., Mincha at 2 p.m.
Jerusalem Synagogue: On Saturdays and Holidays Shacharit is held from 8:50 a.m.
